For those of you who don’t have a car with a GPS screen, your smartphone is the best way to know where you’re going. But it’s never a good idea to constantly look down at your phone on your lap or in a cup holder. If you need a better way to keep your phone in your car, you need to try the Vanva Universal Air Vent Car Mount. I’ve had it for a few months (even driven it off-road) and love how easy it is to install and use. It’s actually pretty stable too, and best of all, it’s only $10.
If you’re looking for a phone mount that won’t wobble and holds your phone in place, look no further than this phone mount. It attaches to most common air vents, is easy to adjust, and at $10, it’s an inexpensive accessory that can greatly improve your driving experience.
I’ve tried several air vent phone mounts over the years, but never found one that I really liked. Whatever the brand or the flashy promises online turned out to be frustratingly shaky and unstable, and I stopped using them after a few months. Then, after hours of scrolling on Amazon, I found the Vanva Air Vent Car Mount. Finally, a kickstand that holds my phone in a stable, secure position, and is easy to use, install, and adjust.

I can’t believe it took me this long to find a car mount that I’m happy with because I really don’t ask for much. Thankfully, Vanva checked all the boxes on my list. The first and most important feature I’m always looking for is stability. A lot of car vent mounts don’t fit securely, so after repeatedly putting your phone in and out of the mount, it loosens its connection and your phone starts to sag or the whole thing falls off. However, the Vanva has stable connections both at the attachment points of the air vents and at the ball joints that hold the phone upright. Both screw on snugly, and after months of use, my phone hasn’t sagged, and I haven’t had to re-tighten any connections at all.

The stand’s stability is its star feature, but I also love the process of getting my phone in and out of the Vanva. It’s adjustable in width to fit phones up to 7 inches, which is enough for my iPhone 11 with a bulky case, and according to the Amazon listing, it can also fit larger phones like the iPhone 14 Pro Max. If you’re driving on rough roads or turning too fast, these adjustable sides clamp down to keep your phone safe and keep it from flying out. Additionally, the mount has a quick release button that allows you to quickly and easily remove your phone from the mount with one hand.
If you’re considering buying a Vanva mount, one of the things I recommend you do is double-check the type of vents you have in your car. The Vanva is compatible with most common horizontal and vertical vents, but if you have round or other specialty vents, it may not fit (reference photos are in the Amazon listing).

I love the Vanva Vent Car Mount. It’s secure and actually works like I want it to, much better than any other car mount I’ve tried. It usually costs around $17 — a lot of money for such a sturdy stand, in my opinion — but right now it’s even cheaper at $10. So if you’re looking for a better, safer way to navigate the road without keeping your phone in a cup holder, check out the Vanva Air Vent Car Mount.
