American rapper Offset says he is “broken” by the death of his cousin and Migos bandmate Takeoff.

Takeoff and Offset (real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus), 28, and his uncle Quavo (real name Quavious Keyate Marshall) are members of the Migos. The trio rose to fame with their 2013 hit single Versace, which became even more popular with Drake’s remix.
Police have yet to make any arrests following the Nov. 1 shooting.
Two weeks later, Offset shared a statement to his 20 million followers on Instagram, writing: “Dear Take, the pain you have left me is unbearable.
“My heart is broken and I have so much to say but I can’t find the right words.
“I’ve been falling asleep and waking up hoping it was all a dream, but it’s reality and reality is like a nightmare.
“I wish I could hug you one last time. Laugh one last time. Smoke one last time. Perform one last time.”
Offset, who is married to rapper Cardi B, went on to say that “people with souls like yours are in heaven right now.”
The 30-year-old continued: “I hope you can see how much we love and miss you.
“You left a hole in my heart that will never be filled. Give me strength, strength to your brothers, strength to your family.
“Even though I know you’ll always be with us, please give me a little sign or a beautiful dream. I love you forever, 4L and beyond.”
Takeoff is the youngest of the Migos trio.
Offset’s statement follows a lengthy eulogy delivered by Quavo, 31, over the weekend, calling his nephew “our angel”.
