Snyder’s late TD pass gives Buffalo a 24-20 win over Miami (Ohio) Athletic’s

Buffalo, N.Y. (AP) — Cole Snyder threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Justin Marshall with 31 seconds left as Buffalo beat Ohio 24-20 on Saturday Miami, state.

Snyder’s pass to Marshall ended 13 games for 82 yards for Buffalo (2-3, 2-0 Central American Conference) with 3:51 to play. Miami (2-3) reached Buffalo’s 46-yard line, then flipped the ball over with 3 seconds left in the MAC opener.

Mike Washington’s 1-yard touchdown plunge gave Buffalo a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter. In the next three scrimmage games, Aveon Smith scored on a 73-yard run to tie the RedHawks.

Buffalo led 14-7 on Cole Snyder’s 1-yard touchdown after an interception by Jahmin Muse and a 51-yard return. Graham Nicholson’s 35-yard field goal pulled Miami away 14-10 at halftime.

Alex McNulty’s 43-yard field goal extended the Bulls’ lead to 17-10, but Evan Smith scored on a 3-yard run and Nicholson added another to give the Reds The Hawks led 20-17 after three quarters.

Snyder completed 19 of 35 passes for 188 yards, including one interception by Buffalo. The Bulls had just 278 yards offense and 359 yards throwing.

Smith completed 14 of 26 passes for 119 yards for Miami. He rushed for 142 yards 12 times and scored twice.
