A high-performance plastics company that produces plastic sheet, rod, tube, film and fabricated parts is expanding its footprint in Western New York.
Professional Plastics announced Tuesday that it will open a 42,000-square-foot distribution center at 1701 Eden Evans Centre Road, Angola, in a building that used to house Lads Pet Supplies.
The company expects steady growth in many of the markets it serves, prompting construction of new factories that will double the company’s operations in Western New York.
“We are strengthening our business to meet the needs of our customers, especially in the fast-growing semiconductor industry, which is expected to grow significantly in the coming years,” said Mark Casey, North American president of Professional Plastics.

The facility is located one mile from Interstate 90 and has six dock gates.
“Angola’s location allows us to concentrate our New York distribution activities in a larger facility that is adjacent and has the capacity to serve as a hub for the entire northeastern United States,” Casey said.
Professional Plastics’ East Coast headquarters and manufacturing facility is located on Mid County Drive in Orchard Park, across from Bryant & Stratton College.
The California-based company established operations in Buffalo in 2002 with just three employees. Professional Plastics now has more than 90 local employees at both locations and plans to double that number over the next three years.
Professional Plastics is renovating the building’s office space and will relocate some commercial functions in early 2023.
