Police arrest two Redwood City men after robbery at rare coin store in Menlo Park

Two Redwood City men were arrested in September. 29 following multiple robberies at a rare coin brokerage in Menlo Park, according to police.

The theft was first reported in September. In June, the business was allegedly robbed of rare coins and money several times in August, with losses totaling tens of thousands of dollars. Menlo Park police said the business was run by an elderly couple from their home.

A 24-year-old man and a 46-year-old man from Redwood City were arrested on suspicion of theft, elder abuse and conspiracy. Menlo Park police recovered some of the stolen items after receiving a search warrant following the arrest.
