On Sunday, the head of the Kherson region’s military administration shared an update on the liberation of the village, including the regulations imposed under martial law and the restoration of key services.

Official Yaroslav Yanushevich wrote in a Telegram post on Sunday that while Ukraine regained control of the region, residents should stay away from the recently liberated area to avoid Russian attacks.

“The probability of enemy shelling on the right (west) bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region remains high. Russian troops, while fleeing, are desperately fighting civilians. We have seen this repeatedly in many liberated settlements,” he warned.

But Ukrainian leaders say they have succeeded in reintroducing some essential services in the region.

“It has already been possible to restore gas supply to more than 300 residents of liberated settlements in the Kherson region,” Yanushevich wrote.

He also said that mobile connectivity has been restored in the city of Kherson.

“LTE from Kyivstar (the Ukrainian mobile operator) is already operating in the square near the Regional State Administration in the city center,” he said.

On Sunday, the CNN team saw a communications tower in the city of Kherson.

Yanushevich reported that during the Russian occupation of the city of Kherson, most pharmacies closed. He assured that “the pharmacy will resume work after the demining of the territory.”

Martial law remains in the area, the official said. Ukrainian authorities have banned water transport in the region until Nov. 1. 19, said to protect residents.
