The 2023 Grammys will look a lot like the 2017 Grammys, another high-profile showdown between Adele and Beyoncé.
The duo faced off again for nominations in the main categories: Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year.
This time around, Beyoncé has nine names and Adele has seven.
Of course, there are other artists nominated in these categories, but Adele and Beyoncé, who claim to be huge Bey fans themselves, have a history.
Adele took home five awards in 2017, including album of the year for 25.
Beyoncé won two awards, including best music video for “Formation” and best urban contemporary album for “Lemonade.”
It caused quite a stir in Beyhive — Beyoncé’s devoted fanbase is well known — and there were even complaints that racism might have influenced the vote.
Adele said in 2017 that she voted for Beyoncé and paid tribute to her in her Album of the Year acceptance speech.
The British singer called Beyoncé “the artist in my life” and her “Lemonade” album “very monumental”.
This brought Bey, who was pregnant with twins at the time, to tears.
Both women performed at the Grammy Awards that year.
