For the people who live and work there, the floods aren’t that bad
Jacksonville, FL – Whenever it rains heavily in Jacksonville, you can bet that San Marco will experience flooding. Ian’s heavy rain was no exception – flooding was happening in the streets of San Marco. On Thursday, LaSalle Street looked like a river.
Water hasn’t reached homes yet, hopefully it won’t. Sandbags line San Marco businesses, who apparently know what to do when heavy rain hits the area.
So far, Ian’s flooding has not been as severe as past hurricanes. Hurricane Irma destroyed many homes and businesses in San Marco and was forced to evacuate in 2017.
