Alec Baldwin is facing a new civil lawsuit from the relatives of cinematographer Halina Hutchins.
ms hutchings In October 2021, while filming the movie “Rusty” in Santa Fe, New Mexico, a prop gun that Baldwin was holding went off on set and died.
The Hollywood actor was charged with battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and financial loss.
Losing the consortium is when plaintiffs seek damages for certain relationships on which they depended.
Rust Film Productions is embroiled in a lawsuit.
Gloria Allred, a prominent U.S. attorney who will represent the family, announced the new lawsuit at a news conference Thursday.

Ms Allred said: “We are well aware that all of our clients’ relationships are damaged and they will not be able to enjoy life as much as they did when their precious Halyna was still alive.
“Halyna was a shining light in their lives. Of course, the tragedy of losing their daughter and sister is heartbreaking for all three of our clients.”
In a separate lawsuit, Baldwin is scheduled to make his first U.S. court appearance on Feb. 24 to face criminal charges stemming from the incident.
