A father has been arrested after seeing a toddler with a loaded handgun outside his Indiana apartment.
Surveillance video from neighbors showed the toddler holding the pistol and at one point pulling the trigger in the hallway of the Beechgrove City building.
However, no bullets were fired from the weapon, Indianapolis-based television station WXIN reported.
Although there were no bullets in the chamber, there were 15 rounds in the magazine.
The 45-year-old father of the toddler was arrested and is expected to appear in court Tuesday afternoon for an initial hearing, NBC News reported.
The Beachgrove Police Department said live footage of the father’s arrest was filmed and aired on a reality TV show called “On Patrol: Live,” which follows law enforcement officers as they go about their duties.
The father was charged with felony neglect of dependent, police said.
The boy, whose age has not been released, appears to have been unharmed in the incident.

Police seized a semi-automatic Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol during the arrest, WXIN reported.
Beech Grove Mayor Dennis Buckley said he was notified shortly after the incident.
“Like all of you, I’m ashamed of what happened and I’m grateful no one was hurt, especially the young children,” he said.
The mayor added: “I thank the Beachgrove Police Department for their swift action to protect small children and questionable firearms.
“I ask the Marion County Attorney’s Office to work tirelessly to ensure that those responsible are charged and convicted, and carry the maximum sentence. Society should not accept anything less.”
