Musk’s tweeted grievances included Apple charging software developers a 30% fee for in-app purchases, and Musk posted a meme suggesting he was willing to “go to war” with the tech giant rather than pay commissions.

Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment after Musk’s blunt comments.

The commission fee could hamper his attempts to grow Twitter subscription revenue, in part to compensate for the loss of advertisers due to content moderation issues.
