The star of the Oscar-winning “Dances with Wolves” has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting young Native American girls.
Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse allegedly committed the crimes over a two-decade period, according to police records.
He is also believed to be the leader of a cult called The Circle, according to a 50-page search warrant obtained by The Associated Press.
The 46-year-old actor is best known for his portrayal of young Sioux tribesman Smiles A Lot in the 1999 film Kevin Costner film, caught near the north las vegas He is said to share the home with his five wives.
A police SWAT team was seen outside the property on Tuesday night as detectives searched inside.
With his appearance on Dances with Wolves, Chaser gained fame throughout the tribe United States and in Canada As so-called medicine men who perform healing rituals and spiritual gatherings.
Police accused him of using his position to abuse young Native American girls.
Las Vegas police have identified at least six alleged victims and cracked sex allegations against Chasing Horse, according to the arrest warrant.
The allegations date back to those in several states in the early 2000s, including MontanaSouth Dakota and Nevadawhere he lived for about ten years.
The arrest stemmed from a crime allegedly committed in Clark County, Nevada, although the warrant included details of crimes reported elsewhere.
Those included sex trafficking, sexual assault and child abuse of children under 16, some of the alleged victims were as young as 13, according to the arrest warrant.
One of Chasing Horse’s wives was allegedly given to him as a “gift” when he was 15, while another became a wife after he turned 16.
Chasing Horse is also accused of documenting sexual assaults and arranging sex with victims for other men who allegedly paid him.
Chasing Horse was evicted from Fort Peck Reservation in Poplar, Montana in 2015 on suspicion of human trafficking, according to a warrant.
As of Tuesday evening, there were no attorneys in Chasing Horse’s court records available to comment on his behalf.
Chasing Horse was born in Rosebud Reservation, South Dakota, home to the Sicangu Sioux Nation, one of the seven tribes of the Lakota Nation.
