Buffalo Public Schools proposes parent transportation program

Buffalo, NY (WIVB) — According to the Buffalo Public Schools website, the district has proposed launching a pilot program for parent transportation reimbursement.

The proposed rollout is in response to a shortage of bus drivers for First Student.

According to the IRS, participating parents will receive compensation of 62.5 cents per mile, the program guide said. The pilot program will reportedly include up to 1,500 parents.

If BPS continues the program, the first 1,500 eligible parents

The district will host three information sessions via Zoom: September. Registration will be open between Monday, October 10th, September 27th at 5:00pm on 29th noon and October 3rd at 5:00pm. October 3rd and Friday. On the 14th, the announcement said.
