Buffalo man pleads guilty to one count of assault

Buffalo, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Buffalo man has pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree assault, Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced Friday.

On March 14, 2020, Damone A. Hennings, 30, knocked on the front door of an elderly home on Box Avenue in Buffalo.

When the man opened the door, Hennings hit the victim in the face, causing him to fall. On the floor, Hennings repeatedly hit the victim in the face before fleeing the home.

The victim was treated for a laceration above his left eye. The attack also left foam and caused his face to swell.
