Brian Moore calls out Leandro Higo: ‘It’s unfinished business’

Brian Moore knew exactly what he wanted next.

The Bellator bantamweight is looking to step up the competition and revisit a failed booking after his latest win. Moore (15-9 MMA, 6-5 BMMA) returned to action last Friday, beating Arivaldo Silva by a clear unanimous decision at Bellator 285 in Dublin.

Now with some momentum, Moore hopes to clash with former Bellator title challenger Leandro Higo.

“Leandro and I were going to fight in Italy not long ago,” Moore told reporters at the Bellator 285 post-race press conference. “He’s got visa issues, so it’s a fight I really want. I really Big respect for Brother Pitbull, not him. So I’ll take him.”

He later added,

“It’s unfinished business. I was going to fight him in Italy and he couldn’t get a visa, but I still want to knock him out.”

Moore ended a two-game losing streak with a win over Silva. Despite setbacks in promotions in the past, he feels ready to align with the best.

“It was a domination from start to finish,” Moore said of his victory. “I was going to finish the game, you know my situation, but he was very tough and he had a very protruding jaw. He was unpredictable, had a good defender and hit the ball very well.

“So I have to choose my shots, but it’s a domination from start to finish. I’m happy about it. Every time I fight in Ireland, I only get top five and top ten. Fight with people outside and see what happens. I’m ready to take a step back for the rest of the game.”
